Day 26, Trepassey

This day is Sunday, July 6th, 2014, and a few ticks past 11:45 am.

Yesterday we visited Mistaken Point and got a glimpse of what sea life was like 565 million years ago.  Today Sharon and I are heading back in that direction but this time we are stopping off at two places we passed by on Saturday, Drook Cove and the Rookery. And wow was it windy at the Rookery, so windy in fact I dare not step to close to the edge while overlooking the bird nesting sites for fear of being blown into the ocean.

We also spent visiting moments at Powles Head lighthouse, where it was, yea, you guessed it, windy.  Then on to a bluff that was the station for a battery years ago set up to protect the town of Trepassey.

Please enjoy,

All four of us thought this was the best of the B and Bs while in Newfoundland.  If you are ever planning on a vacation to the Avalon Peninsula, give this place a look-see.
