After leaving the beaches of Cavendish, Sharon and I followed along Route 6 and into the community of North Rustico.

North Rustico is a fishing village sitting along side North Rustico Harbour. I am not sure what types of fishing boats these are, but there are certainly a lot of lobster traps hanging around. I did see a tuna fishing sign also.

Driving through villages, such as North Rustico, does not take much time at all, and it wasn't long before we came to the end of the road. Dead ends appear quite often in these small villages. But coming to "the end of the road", doesn't necessarily mean " there's nothing interesting to see".

The Blue Mussel Cafe, which is also conveniently located at "the end of the road", was where we chose to have lunch.

"Hello there. We'll have a large bowl of seafood chowder with two spoons, a plate of blue mussels, an order of grilled haddock, oh!, and two pints of your local beer please. And two glasses of water. Thank you very much."

I was monkeying around with the camera, trying to set up a family photo, and I must have mistimed it.

Patio Patrons.

There was only a slight breeze moving through the room, but enough of a pest to constantly blow Sharon's props over. I waited with amusement until things settled down a bit, at least until we took our photos.

While having a seat in the bathroom, I read over this wall-hanging facing me more than a couple of times..."oh, yea, now I get it".

One parting bathroom shot, and then I'm out of here.

Tomorrow we leave Prince Edward Island. Our next two B&B sleeps are at Cape d'Or lighthouse in Nova Scotia. But before we arrive there, Sharon and I will make a stop in Joggins, NS., where we will search along a pebbly shoreline with a guide for fossils--and we see plenty.
