Day 23, July 3rd - Signal Hill
Our alarm went off (kind of) at 6:30 this morning. The smell of a cooking breakfast kind of did it, all of which was made possible because we had the good fortune of having our bedroom window just an extra arm's distance from the open kitchen window.
With another day's breakfast taken care of, we are heading up to Signal Hill, with hopes of witnessing the firing of the Noon Day Gun, a practice that has continued from as far back as the 19th century. Also from the hill I have this wonderful view of the city of St. John's along with its beautiful and well protected harbour.
The two screenshot maps in this album will show you the relationship of our bed and breakfast in regards to Cape Spear and Signal Hill.
