Day 21, Bonavista, July 1st, Canada Day

Yes we did arrive at Arch and Marie's Bed and Breakfast in Bonavista later in the afternoon, and as your eyes wander southward during your reading of this passage, you'll notice our breakfast table the next morning has an unusual decorative touch to it, compared to the usual breakfast fair.

Sharon and I, Donna and Keith, divided into pairs again today, each choosing to seek out our own separate adventures.  We chose to make our first stop, actually our only stop, in Elliston, on the eastern shores of the peninsula, a leisurely one hours drive away. It was here that I was confronted by a stranger, Sharon and I witnessed an iceberg flipping over, and we had another refreshing suck from a growler.

Enjoy

The residents of Elliston consider their town "the root cellar capital of the world," and I think they can make a pretty good case in support of that claim because there were cellars spread throughout the area. Later in the day when we head off to view the puffins, we'll have a chance to glimpse inside a cellar.
