Day 21, Bonavista, July 1st, Canada Day

Yes we did arrive at Arch and Marie's Bed and Breakfast in Bonavista later in the afternoon, and as your eyes wander southward during your reading of this passage, you'll notice our breakfast table the next morning has an unusual decorative touch to it, compared to the usual breakfast fair.

Sharon and I, Donna and Keith, divided into pairs again today, each choosing to seek out our own separate adventures.  We chose to make our first stop, actually our only stop, in Elliston, on the eastern shores of the peninsula, a leisurely one hours drive away. It was here that I was confronted by a stranger, Sharon and I witnessed an iceberg flipping over, and we had another refreshing suck from a growler.

Enjoy

During our stay at White's Bed and Breakfast, we met and enjoyed the company of a wonderful couple from Germany.

Now it is time to get prepared for the next part or our day.
While Donna and Keith were off on a separate adventure, Sharon and I drove across to the eastern shore, and to the town of Elliston. Today being Canada Day, Elliston was celebrating their soldiers who had lost their lives during the past two World Wars.
