Starting Up Into The Cirque.

By the evidence of cars in the parking lot and along the roadside, there will be too many hikers populating the trails for anyone to be concerned about bears.

This is one of the most colourful hikes I have been a part of for quite some time. In a little over a month these slopes will be under a blanket of snow. And in late spring next year during the snow melt, the red fireweed will be replaced by beautiful white and pinkish avalanche lilies.
