There are 8 access points into Nose Hill park. I entered from the Berkley Bate/Porcupine Valley Parking Lot not where the STAR suggests.

The thing about Nose Hill is what may look like the summit is not always the case.

Eventually I will be looking down into Porcupine Valley, but for this moment I'll continue following the path I am currently on.

HERE I AM

My choice is not to follow the women ahead of me who are on the trail heading south towards the red line and Porcupine Valley. I'll continue ahead towards the next trail heading south.

SUN DOG

A dog of a different kind.

I eventually decided to turn around and follow the ladies after all . . . or I could follow this critter.

I followed the critter's tracks knowing I would reach the other trail soon enough.

I'll save the adventure of wandering down into the valley for another day.

As you can see proper foot gear is essential.

Looking into the eastern blue sky there doesn't seem to be any snow clouds forming.

However that's not the case gazing west.

Looks like a good time to head home for lunch.
