Banff via Hoodoos Trail June 13 2020
Read More"A hoodoo (also called a tent rock, fairy chimney, or earth pyramid) is a tall, thin spire of rock that protrudes from the bottom of an arid drainage basin or badland. Hoodoos typically consist of relatively soft rock topped by harder, less easily eroded stone that protects each column from the elements. They generally form within sedimentary rock and volcanic rock formations."

These two formations remind me of the movie Ghost Busters, especially the ghost on the right with the fat droopy schnozzle. This is a dream come true.
A section of Banff Avenue has been closed to vehicle traffic and opened up for pedestrians, cyclists, and skateboarders only.
Because of the pandemic, only Albertans are welcomed into the townsite. During any other year the sidewalks are jammed with tourists from around the world keeping many Albertans including myself away.
