The parking lot to McGillivary Canyon is quite un-assuming.
Once we passed Lac de Sac and McGillivary Pond, we had to be very vigilant as not to miss seeing the trail head. Then once discovered, it was a matter of driving further on and then doubling back.
It is a fun time walking the canyon floor in the snow, because when the warmer weather approaches, snow melt from Mt. McGillivary and Pigeon Mountain fills the canyon with cold rushing water, and pushing all kinds of nasty things along with it.
