I have never been to Bow Hut before, but I have passed its junction three times in the past while on my way to Bow Falls. This hike in Banff National Park starts from the Simpson's Num-Ti-Jah Lodge,on the north shore of Bow Lake, which is accessed from the Icefields Parkway.
The trail to Bow Hut is classified as moderate, with a height gain of 500 metres, and a round trip of 14.8 kilometres.
My hiking time, which included lots of pixel moments, was 3 hours to the hut, and 2 1/2 hours to come down. Including time spent at the top, which I highly recommend, the total time from start to finish took the better part of 7 hours.
