Fullerton Loop - June 1, 2013
Less than an hour's drive south west of Calgary, and an arm's length distance out of Bragg Creek, we settled the car down onto the parking lot of Allen Bill Pond. From here there is an abundance of hiking trails, and all with no grunt elevation gain. The snows have since left these parts, but the muck has not; and I'm thinkin it may have been a tad too early in the season to be on trails this low down. As you will see coming up, there were a few sloppy crossings to deal with.
One of my fun times of the day, and this is true with a large part of my photography, was hanging out where the action was. And today the action was the fisherman/women in and around the pond. Looking back, it would have been fun to spend more time walking around the water's edge, chatting up the locals, and listening to their fish stories. Next visit here, I'll take a different course of action before I head out onto the trails.
