Sunday, November 20th


This past October at our Unitarian church in Calgary, Sharon met a couple who were visiting from their Unitarian church in Olinda Ontario. When they learned we would be in Windsor this November, Sharon and John invited Sharon and I to visit their church in the Hamlet of Olinda.

So this morning we made the three-quarter hour drive from Windsor, and arrived in plenty of time for the 10:30 service.

We had the added bonus of attending a service given by Fran, who was the minister of Calgary's church eight years ago.

Sharon was on a number of church committees during Fran's ministerial years in Calgary.

We had a very pleasant visit with our hosts Sharon and John before leaving Olinda.

Directly from Olinda, Sharon and I dropped in for a more intimate family visit at Nicole, Mike, Ryan, and Trinity's home.

Mike and son Ryan are having some fun with the dominoes.

And Cindy is waiting for her chance to play, or maybe not, she may be catching up on a few winks.

Nicole smiles while her mom just stares, just daring me to reach out and grab a piece.

Kelly is hogging the dominos, Trinity is involved in a world of wonder, and Mike is pleased with the score of the Western Final football game being played tonight in Calgary. At this time the score is Calgary 24, and BC 7, late in the 2nd quarter.

Moments earlier I learned that Ottawa had defeated Edmonton in the Eastern Final, and Ottawa now waits to see who they will be playing in the Grey Cup game next week in Toronto. Hopefully for me it will be Calgary.

Once back from Nicole and Mike's, it took Sharon little time to get settled into some catch up reading. And while she is doing that, I am going to take you on a brief photo tour of our BnB.

Our room is the first one on the right, with the kitchen is straight ahead.

Our modest room is plenty large enough for the two of us.

I'm going to close the door now so we can take a sleep.

Tomorrow Sharon and I are off to visit with my former brother-in-law, and if I know Bob, who is and interior decorator by trade, he will more than likely be in his world of Christmas decorating when we arrive.
