Marin and Natalie brought their Mom for a five day visit, and we made it a collective point to have a fun time.

SATURDAY FreeLittleLibrary
Marin, Karen, and Natalie arrived yesterday, Friday July 9th in the late afternoon. This Saturday morning we are headed out for breakfast, along with our next door neighbours and friends Mary and Bob.
Not too sure what brought this on. I'm thinkin' maybe they should have slowed down on that Baileys and coffee this morning.
On the path towards Triwood Community's Stampede Breakfast.
Still being goofy.

The cooked portion of our breakfast begins here on the lawn.
Everyone has a job to do.
The doors were set to open at 9am, but many folks arrived early and were seated and eating before 8:45. A comfortable short line of about twenty hungry folks is just moments away from having a breakfast plate handed to them. Later on I'll show you why it payed to arrive early.
I 'm surprised to see these many people here already.
The end of the breakfast line finishes off with a few fruit sauces for our pancakes and sausages.
Next order of business is to snag the end piece of this table next to the band.
It's time for the line dancers to strut their stuff.
An hour and a half after our arrival, the lineup has managed to loop itself to the left around the parking lot and beyond the red tent.
It will be another 45 minutes before this women has a plate in her hand.
Our friend Loretta dropped by after breakfast for a visit.
Today Ends Here
Next up? Another Stampede Breakfast.
SUNDAY Monkey Around
Marin is leading the charge to another Stampede Breakfast.
This time we're driving to the Unitarian Church of Calgary.
Karin has here breakfast face on.
Yes My Love, I have a house key.
Today's breakfast was another fine fare. Following the meal it was time to monkey around in the school yard playground next door to the church.
That was a lightening fast finish.
The End of SUNDAY
MONDAY What Colour Are the Babies
Karen, the Girls, and I walked down to Triwood to meet up with Sharon and Susan who were on their way back from their Tai Chi class.
Susan invited us into her back yard for a visit.
For starters, Marin found a broken robin's egg, and Natalie is listening for any signs of life.
Although the swings and treehouse are a vintage 25 years old, they managed to stand up to the test of time.
Acting Goffy
Gramma is patiently waiting for her turn to get into the swing of things.
