Our hike into the mountains was cancelled today because of all the smoke invading Calgary from the BC wild fires. So the eight of us are off to Cochrane just a short drive west.

We'll spend some time here at the market in Cochrane and then head over to the fair grounds.

These are some tasty peas.

We all followed our separate paths throughout the market. Now with groceries in tow we are off to the fair.

Getting into the parking lot was a cash grab for someone. We were under the impression that $10 was for a car load. But not so fast to assume buckaroo. That $10 was to cover one person only. $80 cover charge? Yikes!

But now after giving it some thought, my $10 did cover some free entertainment.

After blowing up a huge ballon, this fella did an amazing thing with it.

He stepped inside.

Heading Back Home

The smoke is hanging rather low and throughout day we could smell it. As soon as I got home everything I was wearing came off. They smelt as if I was hanging out in a smoke house all afternoon.
