Horseshoe Falls Dam and Beyond - April 16

This is a very pleasant and scenic 17 kilometre return hike through bits and pieces of the Stoney Indian Reserve.  Using the northern shoreline of the Bow River as our handrail, we meander above it, and eventually arriving at Horseshoe Falls dam just in time for lunch.

Looking back as we travel along, the eastern face of the Rockies is constantly in view, and there are countless pixel moments available for the hiker looking down onto the Bow.

A couple of neat things about this hike I'm thinkin', is the way the river snakes about as it flows east, and the number of stepped waterfalls along its path.

enjoy,

randy
