When he gives the word, we set our cameras on 12 second delay and then hustle to find a seat down in front.

Our trail which leaves the parking lot from the left, makes a moderate and steady 1.4 kilometre descent curving around the left side of Vista Lake, while loosing 120 metres of elevation by lake level.

Once at the far end of the lake, our trail makes a right turn and follows up the slope, through the darker trees and through the large notch which is the north face of Storm Mountain.
